The Aachen Technology Centres - Room for ideas and innovations
The Technology Centre "am Europaplatz" Aachen (TZA) and the Medical Technology Centre Aachen (MTZ) offer technology-oriented enterprises and international investors excellent start-up and growth conditions on an area covering a total of 18,500 sqm. The regional development agency AGIT, one of the first operating companies for technology centres in Germany, helps at the start with professional advice, efficient services and a top-quality infrastructure.
Clear figures speak for the success of the Aachen Start-up Centres:
over 300 companies were established in the two centres since 1984, around 85% of these were new, technology-based start-ups. In the meantime many of these companies have moved out and settled successfully in the region and are today world leaders in their field of technology. A sound business acumen is also one the main features of these enterprises, as around 90 percent of the start-ups are still successful on the market and employ a total of more than 8,000 persons.
